This piece was created around the biggest “March 8th 2021 Women's protest” in Mexico that brought awareness of the femicides and violence against women being experienced daily. I created a piece that reflects the inner desired spirit, one where sisterhood and connectedness envelop the land, where we can honor our past, our hearts, our bodies, our choices. To show that our inner spirit is ever present, even in moments of violence and destruction. We are striving for those moments where our inside vision matches reality, and one must keep imagining and visualizing the magic of that moment in order to persevere.
